Introduction
Though Srikanth a good actor he has been facing a series of flops, he took the role of Srikrishna devaraya as a challenge, let us see the result.
Story
Srikrishna devaraya commits a mistake during his reign and Dorababu settles it now. Dorababu who is a rich man and jovial and carefree man moves freely with a few village men such MS Narayana, Jeeva and others. The village is in the hands of a bad man Jayaprakash Reddy, and there is an archaeologist [Sivaji raja] discovers about a temple. When jayaprakash tying to occupy it, Devaraya protects the temple, what is the link between the temple, Srikrishna devaraya and Dorababu forms the rest of the story to watch on the screen.
Analysis
The story is beyond expectations. The fantasy historical line is a novel thing, but Srikrishna Devaraya a glorious king linked with an illicit relation with a dancer is very ridiculous and a bad against the character of the great Vijayanagara ruler. The first half is very insufficient for the poor story line. The comedy was attached instead deriving from the story line. The story runs quick in the second half, the comedy was totally left. The climax is very uninteresting and poor. Screenplay looked very poor and dull. Draw backs are countless. Songs are fixed at untimely.
Performances
Srikanth as Devaraya is decent and well fixed in the role. As Dorababu he showed maturity in delivering the role.
Vidisha is superb in her role she did justice to the role. She has seductive exposure at length, surely amuses the audience.
Meenakshi Dixit is very well as to the role but she has very limited space in the movie. She too exposed enough.
MS Narayana, jeeva and others too played well up to their characters.
Technicalities
The cinematography of Poorna is with a lot of drawbacks, editing is poor, Music of Chakri is okay, songs are of dull composition, dialogues of Veerababu lacks wit and poor at many places. Nani Krishna as a director unable to get success, screenplay is dull and not up to the mark.
Verdict
Wait for DVD!!
